Who We Are

 

WELCOME- Board Chairperson- Rafael Martinez 

I am honored to serve as the Chairperson of the Education Foundation of Stanislaus County, and want to personally thank you for your interest in this Foundation. Because of generous support from the community over the last twenty-three years, the Foundation has given more than $2.3 million to programs that touch students of all grades across public, private, charter, and home school programs.

If you have had the opportunity to witness or participate in any student events as a parent, judge, mentor, or student, you have seen first-hand what a difference these events make for students and how they positively change lives.

Parents continuously provide positive feedback about the Stanislaus County Office of Education programs we support and how they impact and shape their children’s lives. I’m happy to share that I was a beneficiary of these wonderful programs. I was able to participate in them while growing up and can attest to the wonderful experiences I gained. I look forward to seeing my two young daughters have the same experiences along with all of the other children of Stanislaus County.

Each year, the community is amazed at the Broadway-like quality of the Youth Entertainment Stage (YES) Company. We have such talented and driven students in our county! Our partnership with Gallo Center for the Arts has only strengthened the quality and experience gained by the students of Stanislaus County.

For over 60 years, generations of families have had the shared experience of attending sixth grade science camp. What a tremendous opportunity to learn and explore within our diverse national and state forests.

Given today’s climate, these programs are more vital than ever. Involved students are more likely to graduate from high school, participate in community service, and volunteer in their communities, regardless of their socio-economic background. As a past or future donor, the Education Foundation values you as a key member of our community. The students of Stanislaus County are worth your investment!
