Foundation Fundraiser Sets Ambitious Fund-raising Goal Slated
for Thursday, September
11, 2008
The Education
Foundation of Stanislaus County plans to raise
$100,000 this year! Formally established in
February 2002, the foundation supports programs
operated by SCOE including the Youth Entertainment
Stage (YES) Company, Students Events (Academic
Decathlon, Mock Trial, etc.) and Outdoor
Education.
"Each year, more than 12,000 students from
throughout the county participate in programs
supported by this Foundation," said Foundation
chairperson Dave Jones. "During these
tight budget times when schools are forced to cut
their budgets, it's great to see community members
step up to support outstanding educational
programs."
Matt
and Barbara Bruno
have graciously offered to host our Education Foundation
Fundraising Dinner this year. We have 50 tables available
and are looking for table sponsors the September 11th dinner. Table sponsors can
purchase a table which seats 10 guests.
This is the Education Foundations biggest fund-raiser for the
year. Having 500 guests attend also means we’re going to
need volunteers for the event
to be a success.
Please consider helping out at this fun event.
